Per Whitney's request

A couple of months ago, Whitney asked me if I would make her a book and talk about all the things that I have learned as a mother.  I am touched by her request.  She obviously thinks I have something of value to pass down, although I look at her and Kenz and think that they are so much further ahead in the mothering department than I ever was.  None-the-less, I have been reflecting on some of my theories and phillosifies that I tried to impliment while raising my family and thought I might use my blog spot to share them.

Disclaimer:  "I don't I think I am all that and a bag of chips!" Moms are human and they make mistakes. There are a million things that I wish I could do over.  But self forgiveness and embracing each new day as a clean slate go along ways in the mommy department.

So without further adieu, here we go!

It occured to me years and years ago that families are a little like tool boxes.  Each individual is just that... individual.  Their focus and purpose in the family is divinely unique.

The moment you start to trying to make one child act or perform like another, you are in for big trouble.  Children are so impressionable.  They need to be loved for just who they are and for what they contribute to the family as a whole.

Embrace differences!  It's the very thing that makes a family interesting.
